About
Eve Bernhard is an intern at Grant Family Farms in Wellington, Colorado for the summer of 2011.
She will be a senior this fall at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts studying documentary photography and sustainable agriculture.
This is Eve’s other website, but it’s not a very current representation of her photographic work as it hasn’t been updated since January, before she spent two months WWOOFing around Europe and interning for the Irish Farmers’ Journal and Transitions Online in Prague.
You can and are encouraged to contact her at evemara@gmail.com if you have any questions or comments, would like prints, or have ideas for photographic subjects!

Your photographs are absolutely breathtaking. Beautiful colors and detail. I enjoy taking pictures of my children and would love to know what kind of camera you use. I am looking to purchase a new one and would love your input.

Wow, thank you Sonya. It’s wonderfully encouraging to hear such feedback.
I use a Canon Digital Rebel XT… one of the cheapest DSLRs out there, but I’ve learned how to work with its settings to document as I imagine. I also must admit that I nearly always do a bit of editing in Photoshop, just to fix color, lighting, sharpness, specks on the lens, etc.
In terms of choosing a camera, there are soso many options to sift through, so I found this guide:

to be quite helpful.
I also love photographing children by the way.. here’s a small collection of moments I’ve captured of my little sister.
